Matthew Alex has over 25 years working with Higher Education institutions in facilitating the use of their systems and technology to help drive institutional goals, improve the experience of their constituents and increase efficiencies within their operations. He also has extensive experience supporting organizations and initiatives to drive strategic and business development growth. At Deloitte, Matthew leads the Higher Education Student Technology and Transformation Practice and the Smart Campus Leader for the firm. He also leads the Future of Work Initiatives for the Higher Education practice. He has guided and supported all types of institutions from Ivy League schools to Community Colleges. He has personally designed and architected applications for Stanford University, Cornell University, University of Massachusetts, Florida International University, Spelman College, City Colleges of Chicago and Miami Dade College. Matthew has a unique perspective; one based on years of Higher Education experience, as well as a thorough understanding of the policies and processes of the institution and how they function in the higher education ecosystem. He is well known in the higher education market for his innovative style and ability to work with clients to address their needs. Before entering the Higher Education consulting arena, Matthew was the Assistant Director of Admissions and Records at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In that position, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of four enrollment management units comprised of forty-five staff members. Prior to that role, he was Assistant Director of Chicago Kent College of Law's Registration & Records.
